It's a mystery to me how rigid and lacking in compassion they are. On the other hand, I think I disagree with a lot of folks on sub stacks who support what the Israelis did and are doing to the Palestinians. I'm against war and genocide. The Italians did it to the Ethiopians, etc. etc. I don't think I ever was able to justify or rationalize those kinds of actions.
