At My previous hospital system in Washington State when they began the vaccine mandates for staff, the community of Bellingham had a protest/ I was the solo NP present- there were no MD's and there were about 20 RN's who attended coming from all over Washington State. I was the only one on my team of 4 NPs and 8 MD's that did not vaccinate and was forced to resign. I knew of about 5 RN's and a few orthopedic surgeons who also resigned. It's a very small number. I am now in a Southern State and it is more of an even split. People are able to debate here about the vaccines and there is almost 100% refusal of boosters for those that did vaccinate. My numbers are only estimates based on my personal experience. Overall I would say that medical practitioners in general are people who go along with group think and do worry a great deal of maintaining their own standard of living. I am lucky in that I do not live beyond my means and could again live in a van down by the river if need be.
