Yes, it appears the Western Europe is content to continue as colonies of the US, for which they have already paid a heavy price and will continue to do so. As the Multipolar world emerges any country that opts for colonization is a dead end street. The whole objective of the multipolar world is to escape colonization which some countries just aren't prepared to do. Canada is also one such country.

The choice is freedom or oppression, many are content with the latter.
