Perhaps I am just a dismissive skeptic. But I suspect, if you had access to the true case and fatality rates, you'd find that "deadly" means that 8 per million are dying, up from perhaps 6 per million previously. All this with the usual disclaimer that Covid-19 severely affects and kills almost exclusively the very old and/or with chronic serious conditions. Oh yes, the usual failings of tests, disease diagnosis and incentives to fudge statistics. In other words, it's all bullshit until proven otherwise.
