It never occurred to me until the trial started, and people started writing about this, just how hard this must be for him. I wonder when is the last time he even just had to physically sit still for this long, let alone all the threats to his ego. And he must have near-zero internal resources for dealing with it -- every psychological "muscle" he's built up in his long lifetime has been explosively outer-directed, and this requires something slow, steady, and inner-directed.

It's got to be hell. Well, that's his problem.
