Looking at the overwhelming support from both U.S. parties at the beginning of the Iraq War, it shouldn't be surprising to see the majority of Mainland China support policies that are so obviously horrific. (Especially when everyone can safely assume that they're going to lose their jobs or worse if they publicly criticize policies.)
