When I read that searching for "for vanishing stars and anomalous transients" was the subject of Dr Villarroel's study I laughed out loud. Satire cannot compete with modern day reality. She did not need a telescope to look around the office. I also noticed that the good Doctor was, among the galaxy of women, one of the brighter stars, and this brought to mind that women are competitive, and the thought that she was herself, or might have been, the subject of harassment from women for sexual competitive reasons.

We need to keep our eyes on in the immediate issues of administrative justice and mob rule. The most noticeable thing about BLM was the degree to which they escaped prosecution for the burning and looting. The fact is that most of those in the BLM and feminist mobs escape any penalty for their actions. This must change. Even talk of stricter laws can help. Institutions can be held to account in the courts and this should be used as the effective weapon that it is. Most of us can afford a few dollars to support those in the legal front line. And people like Geoff Marcy need to fight harder and smarter also.

We see Donald Trump rising in the polls mostly, I think, because he will not retreat. Stepping back when the dog growls does not mean that you will not be bitten. Standing firm does not mean you won't be. Sometimes you have no good option. We are all running out of options.
