Yes in fact. Almost all have their roots in Azad Kashmir province and other more remote areas of what was once called the "North West Frontier". The pattern of immigration from "Pakistan" (remembering for a long while Bangladesh was part of Pakistan too) has been varied over time. Including communities from East Africa, "middle classes" from the big cities such as Karachi and Lahore as well as Muslims from the republic of India, Indonesia and Malaysia as well as Egypt and more recently the levant. There is little evidence of the same pattern from these "Muslim" communities and some, such as Raja Miah locally (Gtr. Manchester) have campaigned for years to expose the scandal. In Gtr. Manchester the Mayor (who is also the Police and Crime Commissioner) issued an apology in 2022 for the way the fear of disrupting "community cohesion" meant the Police and Councils did not take action 15 years earlier. Following a report commissioned by the Mayor. So I do have sympathy with the way all Muslims get lumped in. There was after all a form of "racism" on the part of the authorities who seem to have believed that taking action would have affected all Muslims, when in fact I'm sure many would be appalled at the idea that they would want such stuff kept quiet. "Pakistani" is not properly accurate though about 75% of the current folk in the UK are from or descended from the regions I refer to above.
