Ok, I get what you’re saying. I’m careful about placebo effects - I see it when I add or remove supplements that are supposed to be miraculous. Does he do better because I want him to? But the situations I’m talking about are extreme so placebo effect is almost non-existent as a possibility. Like a severe episode that nearly requires full sedation and hospitalization, until a doc threw a Hail Mary and asked us to try an antiviral. Within two days, he was out of the darkness and slowly coming back. That kind of thing. I have about five years of notes and graphs of behaviors, including meds tried (including psych meds) and again, the data tells a story.
