Luckily for us, the Permian basin is cranking out record levels of oil and gas despite the hostility from the current administration. Investors need confidence that oil and gas won't be shut down so they can convert certain refineries to process sweet crude. Right now the heavy crude most American refineries process must be imported. But if investors did not have to worry about their money being flushed down the toilet with this hostile administration, maybe they would take the risk.

Energy security is national security. And America is becoming weak. Leadership needs to take the chains off.
