A BIG reason behind the bias you describe is of course racism. The Israel lobby has gone to enormous lengths over the years to portray itself as a Western country, populated by white people with modern, liberal values just like their allies. Hanukah is presented as the Jewish Christmas, often by very presentable mouthpieces like Brooke Goldstein. On the other hand, Islam, Arabs, Muslims, Palestinians have been presented as terrorists, nut jobs, haters of women and gay people, towel heads, camel fuckers, barbaric scum. They are not white. They are not like us. They are not human...or an old and obsolete type of human that needs to be removed from the gene pool. So great is this cultural pressure that it's tempting to go along with it. Until you realise that it is highly exclusive. Left to its own devices, Zionism aligns with racist, classist, imperial supremacy that suits a tiny proportion of the world's peoples. The rest of us can go to hell.
