Genomic sequencing is done on very few cases. Fewer than 1% in the US. I believe it is near 30% in some other countries. Computer modeling is used to assess variant prevalence. Dr. McCullough stated on Joe Rogan there was something about Omicron that allows a binary decision of yes or no for Omi but I have yet to read that anywhere.
