Linguistics, bad kitty. What you call behavioral economics they call behavioral science. Which is The Science (TM) of the pandemic (and all attacks on society and reason) that authorities have told us they are following. Shortening it to just "science" for the ambiguity the word conveys.

It's a "science" that rests upon a foundation of propaganda and censorship; they are the heart of it. Manipulative and coercive nudges and shoves relying upon psychological tricks and games like "fear amplification" to "fix" a population's "optimism bias"that they "suffer" from. It also will try to preserves an illusion of choice and empowerment with "choice architecture" that removes options available to the public that are disfavored by those in power while substituting others that are favored - like making gas-powered cars prohibitively expensive and offering EV's instead - voila! Choice!

The declaration of a health emergency that authorities decided to treat with Behavioral Science instead of medical science has been like letting Doctor of Psychology Sigmund Freud perform heart surgery while cardiologists observe from the balcony above.

Ominously, as a result of the effectiveness of the Behavioral Science (let's just call it BS from here on out) in changing perspectives and behaviors as the BS was applied during the pandemic, authorities have been so impressed that they've now invested billions of dollars in implementing and expanding Behavioral Health programs across the nation, local, state and around the world. Each of them given extraordinary power to apprehend and involuntarily commit those who don't obey authorities, declaring them mentally ill, necessary for their own protection. Their minds described as having lost touch with "evidence-based reality" (aka consensus narrative). Dissociated from reality, i.e. insane. For not going along with the narrative created by a consensus of totalitarians. Usually a consensus of radical Marxists. Like Susan Michie, the WHO"s new Chief Behavioral Scientist. Or, affectionately, Chief BS'er.

The Science (TM) is a feature, not a flaw of the destruction of society as we knew it pre-2020. It's The Science (TM) that is necessary to make us happy owning nothing and eating bugs by 2030.

The BS hiding in the ambiguity of the term "Science" must be called out for what it is. BS. The term "economics" is more accurate. But we know that economists aren't really scientists, even though they often believe and say they are.

And within the field of BS are more terms, like "blowback" and "backfire." That are used to describe what happens when a BS campaign is exposed and no longer works. It's when the people who've been subjected to an abusive BS campaign realize they are being coerced, manipulated and tricked. It's when people realize those in authority have treated them like chumps. People don't like it when authorities treat them like chumps. And the blowback can be very severe. Even capable of toppling governments. Which is why authorities are doing everything they can to censor and punish truth-tellers. They fear the consequences. What they fear most, the exposure of their BS campaigns, should be our mission. They've earned a whole lot of blowback and backfire.
