A friendly note about your headline: While at war, all nation states (of whatever political leaning) routinely lie about that war. Official statements and associated partisan media should never be read w/o intense skepticism.

Most of mainstream media in the US relies heavily on official and quasi-official Israeli sources for their reporting on the Gaza campaign. This is irresponsible journalism ... except in the sense of the editors being responsible to the State Department’s preferred take.
