Agree lots of unknowns. I guess my thinking is that the impact could end up being at a level that is not politically disastrous. They have plenty of tools to manage messaging too, eg whether to count deaths as from Covid or not. India is supposed to have underreported by a factor of nearly 10. But I suppose only time will tell the full story.
