I'm just curious. In hindsight, can you think what could have been done back then to impend feminisms grip on academia? Maybe it's simplistic on my part, but it seems like the women who became misandrist feminist activist within institutions were the ones who had strong negative interaction (perceived or actual) with a man. They then painted all men with the same brush.
