I did not say I trust them. I meant that lies about China; such as hacking our computers, being nervous about the West and our war on 'terror', 'overproducing' goods and dominating the market and planning to 'invade' its own province of Taiwan are all over British media and are certainly part of the 'narrative'.

The Chinese have repeatedly said that they support the rights of sovereign countries to govern themselves (the opposite of what the US do) and that they have no interest in taking over unipolarity but rather mutual investment for mutual growth. And all their actions have so far supported their words (the opposite of what the US does).
