I'm a born and bred L.A. woman who moved to Upstate NY 16 years ago. Within a few years, my Vit D levels sunk enough to need supplements. Help w my mood in winter, too. However, my husband and I still got a fairly yucky case of Covid this last Jan. So...who knows? My SIL dropped off what I dubbed a "leper basket" with azithromycin, zinc, quercetin, and a couple of tubes of Ivermectin (the actual horse paste.) She included a a bottle of a nice, Portuguese red but I stupidly opened it before my taste was back 100%. Pfft!
