I really don't think that "liberals" (or "progressives" like me) are as resistant to evidence of a lab leak as you seem to imply. As someone with a research bent, not a specialist, I read with interest this Facebook post of May 13, 2020 by a Belgian virologist. It was taken offline for general viewing (I imagine to avoid the political controversy) and subsequently reposted publicly.

Liberals, who like facts if I may speak generally, may not have wanted to add fuel to the extremes of political controversy. But cooler heads are now at the helm--of the U.S. at least. And Biden has made clear that he too wants answers.
