I have recently (5 years or so) worked at cleaning up my language, precision & punctuation. I noticed that most people were stopped taking ownership of the phrase “I love you”. Instead saying “love you”.

That is a dreadful thing to relinquish ownership of. Then I noticed distortions of relinquishment in many other situations.

I’m guessing this may sound trivial but it caused me to retake ownership of my words & thoughts.
