Word manglers - Think the meaning of words is arbitrary (yet get offended by utterances of specific phrases). Want to hold the reins of language to steer society as they see fit.

They’re not poets seeking the sublime through the gaps between the sounds and meanings of words. They’re not writers, stretching the limits of language to deliver ideas that come from a space beyond words. They’re not satirists poking holes in the fabric of wordplay.

No, they don’t care about words beyond the power it serves them over others.

And I, for one, decline to value the utterances of people who see language that way.

They may as well be grunting.
