I'm not exactly Christian either, but have been interested in the Gospel of Mary Magdalen recently coming to light. One quote she attributes to Jesus, in answer to "Why do we become sick and die? is : "You fall in love with that which deceives you." No wonder it was stricken from the Official Version.
