Yeah I mean if they were indeed raised as female, it would suck to find out you were in fact male at some point later down the line... Nonetheless, at some point someone (probably more than someone) decided to make use of that advantage and not be honest about it. At this point, Imane knows he has this advantage, and like you say, is being a total prick about it.
