No, for some reason that is never fully articulated because to do so would reveal the truth; the USA's actual diversity that made her unique and was so sinful according to the orthodoxy of Progress that the uniqueness was perverted into an endless obligation, an original sin in which absolution requires self-immolation into a purer form of Diversity reserved for her shores - and eventually others who dared share similar shades of heritage. Anecdotally and totally unrelated, my small, safe, idyllic western cowboy town where I grew up has no more cowboys, is riddled with crime and blight, but has a walmart and really good tacos.
