And if liberals and conservatives are seperate then why do Tony Abbott (conservative Catholic, monarchist, pro-life, anti-marrage equality, anti-Voice) and Malcolm Turnbull (republican, pro-choice, pro-marrage equality, pro-Voice) both identify as Liberals? As John Howard said, the right consists of two wings, liberal and conservative, and has done so since the1910 fusion of the Free Trade and Protectionist parties.
