Considering that PRC charge d'affaires Xu Xueyuan just got top billing for what was essentially a long string of lies, I have to say alternate opinions are out there in force. What is lacking in these and other perspectives is the acknowledgement of the prodigious risk the PRC is presenting to the United States and other world democracies. Jessica Chen Weiss would be the case in point. Unless and until these perspectives deal realistically with Beijing, they are not adding to the conversation, in my opinion.
