In the comment section it shows the comment field but not the other comments made before. This blocks you from responding to other comments because you can't read them. I've seen this lately on other substacks I've subscribed to as well. This tactic forces you to make a comment if you want to read the other comments. This garners substack a lot more commenting traffic, but stymies commentor's from seeing the full pictures of interactions between substacker and subscribers. Frustrating.
