Yeah, we all have to bend the practical advice list to fit our own needs. I almost never publish anything on Facebook, but it revived contacts for me with a lot of people I hadn't heard from in forty years or so. But I agree that putting faces of kids or adults on that platform is a terrible idea.
I've always hated TV myself, and have hardly ever found an American movie I like since the 1960s, so I've never had one anyway since I was in high school. But obviously it would be a loss for you, and I would lose the benefit of hearing from you what things you likely learn there.
No, no technological hair shirts recommended, unless they fit you well and you find them comfortable. And certainly no diminution of the sacrifice of our favorite Substack authors on our behalf!
