I respectfully disagree. I think they know better. "Shortages" is a straw man. They talk about it as if it were true, but I don't think they actually believe it. However Jeff, we are debating a rather minor point: whatever their true motivations (and the discussion is interesting), their actions show them to be evil. If they were truly concerned about those 3 billion Africans who might go hungry, there are ways to help them. Cutting off the fertilizer supply is not one of them: it is pure, unadulterated evil. I presume we both can agree on that -- and thanks for the discussion. 🙂
