Right at the start of "two weeks to flatten the curve" - I was struck by a certain holiday atmosphere - kids were home, workplaces shutdown - lots and lots of families were out walking together (in my affluent suburban town) - just like a warm, sunny Christmas day; otherwise not much seen. "We're all in this together" - seems to me, you heard that lots at the beginning but then suddenly stopped hearing. Was the operation launched that diabolically? To pre-seed the trance with all those feel good pheromones and then suddenly flip it so that locking children in solitary confinement seemed a natural extension of that caring and affiliation? Makes ya shudder, doesn't it?
