I am not comfortable with the now popular rehtoric that the D-party represents "revolutionaries" or that the anti-Trump litany is really a resistance. It seems to me it's about retaining the entrenched power, and fighting real change.

Have you asked any of protestors upset with immigration "policy", how many times have they met with or sent emails to their representatives in congress? Why protest the law and not direct it at the lawmakers?

I laughed so hard at the "no kings" stuff I side hurt. Who was it that decided to ignore the law enacted by congress and rule through edict on immigration? Who declared "I have a phone and a pen" when congress did not do what he demanded? Who ordered businesses shut down, issued "stay at home" orders, and sent state police to local communities to force their will upon the subjects of their states? That would be 46 state governors, none of them named Trump. One, named Newsom, threatened elected Sheriffs who refused to arrest people for being outside their homes or keeping their businesses running with arrest and prosecution - not then-president Trump. I can go on - and probably should on my own (languishing) substack.

But seriously, don't try this. It's not safe. It's not productive. The true believers are beyond change. They will believe what they need to believe to support their hate for Trump, and when he is gone, The Party will provide a new nemesis.
