I’m most interested in learning more about how China wants to improve their ‘soft cultural power’ mentioned in their 12-length communique... Where could we see these things happening in the world? In what forms might this take?

As for the NBC story, I’m more focused on reaction the of Twitter, et al. Since we’re mostly of the opinion that “Hunter’s laptop from hell” itself is unlikely to sway votes... why don’t “Big Tech” companies feel the same?

People enjoy making fun of Ted Cruz for yelling at Jack Dorsey over Zoom, but it does feel like a clumsy and naked attempt on their part to quash the tabloid (?) story. And it does speak to the platform/publisher debate that’s going on. I think this feels a more important takeaway than “Joe gets kickbacks from Hunter doing drugs and getting paid by the CCP’s ‘Crazy Rich Asians.’”
