“…..A disturbing new Responsible Statecraft piece by Branko Marcetic notes that the civilian leadership roles in the US government which have historically been responsible for reining in the more dangerous impulses of the US war machine have actually been far more hawkish and aggressive on Ukraine than the Pentagon’s professional warmakers. According to a recent Washington Post report, inside the Biden administration “the Pentagon is considered more cautious than the White House or State Department about sending more sophisticated weaponry to Ukraine.”…..

I think this remark skips over an important point about the composition of what is described as “White House and State Department”.

Why?

Well first remember that Biden is a stooge. He came into office because the warmongers in the three latter egencies wanted Trump out and once they saw the GOP would not remove Trump they threw all kinds of accusations including false “intelligence” like “Russiagate” at him, and supported Biden. I have never seen any Dems candidate get mass support of warmongers like Biden and Clinton.

Second, understand that for many years, career diplomats have been LEAVING State Dept in droves. Why? Because they could no longer get anywhere.

Why is that, if you look closely the top ranks of what used to be diplomatic core is now filled with obvious three letter agency head of station types. Go around most countries in the world where the US is meddling or spying and look at the career CV of the “ambassador” - they are rather obviously spooks. Its not like William Burns or George Bush was any kind of exception. This has been a growing trend for years.

Furthermore, the White House and State Deparment’s political appointees, also stuffed with three letter agency types like Nuland, Blinken, Sullivan etc. These are the war hawk faction of Langley, not “diplomats”.

The three letter agencies are not civilians, they are military actually. They are part of the pentagon, just not in uniform..

News noted by Seymour Hersh in his column recently: Deputy Sec of State Wendy Sherman just “resigned “ today, tipped to be replaced by none other than….Victoria Nuland. Yes, Victoria “F…the EU” Nuland. Need we say any more?

America does not have diplomats or a diplomatic core. A bunch of rabid spooks used Biden as a cutout and they are running the show. Spooks so rabid that the in-uniformed side of the pentagon is scared of the damage they are wiling to do, planning to do, and DOING.

Dont talk about diplomats or whatever. There are not. America is a country with rogue faction of the military as their national “leadership”, is the problem. Biden is just a frontman so that people do not understand a coup has happened.
