I’d go a sttt er p back and say that in the U.S. succeeding in academia dnd in journalism is an ethnically handicapped race - no pun incensed - in the first place.

For whatever reason, a disproportionate majority of the top level people in these fields in that country are of Jewish ethnicity in the first place.

And God help you if you are Latino or Asian or African American in the U.S. coming up the ranks in those fields and you hold such views critical of Israel. Your career is mostly dead on the back of that - if it wasn’t already stillborn due to lack of insider connections.
