Language is, in some sense, not just thinking, it has epistemological underpinnings as well. I happen to hold (loosely) to a non-positive epistemology which stands in the way of seeing language as a binary (you understand or or don't). Ultimately, the beauty of poetry, along with humor and irony are all injured in a universe of closely guarded adherence to the 'correct' meaning. In some sense, this is what Boghossian et all ended up revealing, whether they intended that outcome or not.
