Agreed. He at least made certain things acceptable to say, like deep state, and fake news. He spoke to something in the zeitgeist. Because he is so obviously flawed does not mean he is without merit. The whole conversation has shifted and the right are better at a lot of things the left used to be. Like speech and war. What Caitlin leaves out is hope and wild grace. It is the downside of rational leftism. That is why I relate to the right more these days although I never claim to be on the right. Too many disagreements. But they generally have better converstions and more pertinent. Leftists are often not critical of important parts of capitalism like healthcare. They seem to think that big pharma has made amazing products but they're just too expensive to the gov't should buy them from pharma and give them out for free. No real idea of the harms that they promote. I can't take that anymore. There are only a few leftists left who have holistic views. Most are dogmatists and either boring or dangerous. It's a sad and very strange state of things. But there are hopes scattered here and there on the road to Armageddon.
