“Hi Caitlin — question — I have friends, some lifelong, who I don’t associate with anymore because, while maybe not supporting, are at the very least ambivalent towards the genocide. I just can’t be around people who are more concerned with what show or restaurant they’re trying next. Am I the asshole?”

I think it's clear that we create our own happiness or unhappiness by how much we obey or disobey physical and spiritual laws. If someone is - at best - ambivalent toward the genocide and cannot or will not at least acknowledge that it is wrong - that it is a blatant violation of a spiritual law. These are the same types of selfish cowards who let others do all the work.

Say there was a serial killer running around on a whacking spree or a wildfire consuming homes left and right. Do you think these types would be the ones trying to deactivate the murderer? Do you think these types will put in an iota of effort to extinguish the fires?

No, of course not. They let others do all the work so then can enjoy a good meal or watch a show. And this is because they're selfish cowards. Better yet, selfish assholes.

It's a blessing to be shown their true colors and not to expend any of your energy on them. Would you expect to get rewarded for a job never done? They do.

They don't deserve to be regarded when they have no regard for the lives of others. They don't deserve to be cared about when they don't care about others. They're anti-social. Get away from them - for good - and let them find each other. Then and only then will they see what it's like to deal with such a selfish asshole. It will be like cats in a bag.

THEY are the asshole.
