Most are missing the point. The drug companies have liability immunity because these shots are issued under a liability immunity-granting EUA. They lose some of that immunity when this goes to an "approved" drug UNLESS it is on the pediatric immunization schedule. That is why you have NEVER seen a Comirnaty vaccine dose given, even though it is illegal to continue to use a EUA drug when there is an approved drug available. In the current environment, the use of the approved drug will also open them up to liability lawsuits for the damage they have caused. So you will not see it...even though that is the law.

Pfizer/Moderna will do ANYTHING to get this approved for pediatric patients because at that time they have complete, permanent immunity from any harms these drugs cause. If they do not get them approved, and the EUA is eventually ended (unlikely with the current administration but has to happen sometime one would think) they will all owe so much money to so many injured folks they likely will go bankrupt.

That is why this is not going away. It has nothing to do with safety or efficacy...only liability shielding for the manufacturers.
