So do I have this right? You conclude that mortal death is evidence that consciousness is immortal? And, furthermore, it’s cynical to view that as simply wishful thinking? Is this what passes for “enlightened?”

I’m an atheist, and I don’t think any part of anybody survives their corporeal end. Also, I don’t think anybody on this side of the terra firma is equipped to prove that my perspective is wrong. One thing that living in a land that is gauged to be over 80% “religious,” and where selling is the default activity of the transactional culture...there will be no shortage of purveyors of the ultimate truth.
