This was a great interview. One little addition to TJ's observation about softer sentences for Indigenous criminals: the seldom noted fact is that most of the "dead and missing women" from indigenous communities are killed by members of their own communities. By softening the sentences of the perpetrators of these crimes, the women are put at greater risk. Somehow the endless committees looking into this horror never seem to approach anything resembling the truth.
