I don’t think we need to make a Hobson’s choice just yet. The CCP’s calculation whether or not to provide guns and ammunition to Russia is complicated by the fact that any such sales would certainly anger the EU, and justifiably so. The EU has become a significant market for the Chinese and they would be very reluctant to jeopardize that business any further. I think it was smart for the US to publicly accuse China as a way of preempting any such sales. Hopefully US diplomacy is starting to take a more aggressive tack. The last thing the Chinese want is for their deviousness to be made public, as we saw with the scolding of Trudeau.
