I’m not sure what you say is true across the industrial spectrum. Facebook never got a toenail into China and Google was forced to leave at a very early stage. Nothing remotely like the US market penetration of Tik Tok. Where is the 互利 that the CCP is so fond of spouting? As for your second point, while it’s true that in the US the two parties may come together on issues seen to affect national security, should Google be requested on national security grounds to share user data with USG, it will be the independent judiciary (a concept CCP recently labeled “erroneous”) that decides whether the data does in fact impact national security. Not so in China.
