The Chinese readout of the Blinken meetings, “Both sides agree to encourage the expansion of cultural and educational exchanges between the two countries……”. How many Chinese students are currently studying in the USA? 150,000? How many US students are currently studying in China? 350? Even though the number of the former is down compared to yesteryear, it still dwarfs by far the number of the latter. Everything in that readout are things that China wants, more flights to the US, more Chinese businessmen in the US. No mention of things the US wants. Or did I miss it?
