Go into any store in Africa and try to buy something (excluding food) not made in China. It’s almost impossible . Chinese hegemony is economic and that makes it more permanent, and more of a threat. The Russians were in Afghanistan and they left. The Americans were in Afghanistan and they left. All this time, Chinese goods remain on the shelves.
