An interesting point. I think though that the availability of large tracts of land on which to put the native population out to pasture was a big factor in how things turned out. Palestine has no such luxury. And the number of Jewish settlements in the West Bank has quadrupled since Oslo. So where is the land available for a Palestinian state?
