He pretended he wasn't changing his stories. When caught, he would dismiss his lie as unimportant/justifiable and laugh. Honest mistakes are excusable though not good. Lying is bad enough. But his bald faced gaslighting and laughing in our faces infuriated me. I've lost patience with his admirers too.
