Up skilling employees?!?!! What a novel idea!! Also, one of the oldest ideas that successful companies implement. One of the biggest reasons employees leave companies is lack of career development. When you up skill employees, you keep them engaged, give them opportunities, and save money / time by not hiring new employees. Of course there are some things that can't be taught over the course of several months but many skills can be. And finally, "quiet hiring" or "quiet anything" is dumb. Good stuff from the TechRecruit conference. Yes, we want to assign metrics for sourcers, but how much of their performance are we measuring beyond their span of control? Should that all fall under recruiting? Most companies benchmark sourcer performance for steps in the hiring process that the sourcer has little effect on. Is that the best way?
