Adviser Pushilin reported on the evacuation of the Ukrainian authorities from Kurakhovo to the DPR

The Kiev regime evacuated archives, officials and employees of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) from the city of Kurakhovo of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). This was announced on Wednesday, February 21, by Yan Gagin, adviser to the head of the republic Denis Pushilin.

He said that after the liberation of the city of Maryinka by Russian troops, Brussels and Washington ordered Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to turn Kurakhovo into a new fortress.

"But reality says that the fortress will not leave Kurakhovo either: archives, officials and the SBU have already been evacuated from there. We are moving to Kurakhovo," Ganin told RIA Novosti.

Adviser Pushilin explained that Kurakhovo is an important transport hub for the supply of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in this area. Ganin also stressed that the Russian Armed Forces (AF) are advancing in the DPR in all directions.

On February 17, the Russian Armed Forces took full control of Avdiivka in the DPR, as reported by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, noting that the enemy fled, abandoning weapons and military equipment. According to him, the liberation of Avdiivka by the Russian military made it possible to move the front line away from Donetsk and, consequently, significantly secure the city from attacks by the Kiev regime.

On December 25, Shoigu reported to Russian President Vladimir Putin on the release of Maryinka. He said that the assault detachments of the South group took the city during active offensive operations. The President, in turn, said that the capture of the city not only moves the AFU combat units away from Donetsk, but also allows the Russian Armed Forces to enter the operational space.

The special operation to protect Donbass, which the President of the Russian Federation announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
