Reimagining car ownership

You might have noticed that we look a little different!

We're excited to announce our new name Uber Carshare!

While we might have a new name and a fresh new look, we're still the same team backed by the scale of Uber, dedicated to providing the same service and support to our members.

Why the change?

As Car Next Door becomes Uber Carshare, we’re setting out to make car-sharing mainstream across Australia. Now, peer-to-peer car-sharing will sit next to Uber’s other offerings and provide Aussies with a comprehensive range of mobility options in one place. From classic rideshare to public transport and micro-mobility options like scooters, Uber Carshare will now offer easy access to cars nearby when you want to drive yourself.

We are excited to turbocharge our mission of freeing people and the planet from the ‘one person, one car’ mentality.

FAQs

We’ve started the transition from Car Next Door to Uber Carshare, so you’ll start to see our new look across our channels. All you need to do is make sure your app is updated to the latest version before commencing your next trip.

You might still see our old name, logo and colours for a little while longer while we update everything.

The Car Next Door contact number is still the same, so you can get in touch the same way you do today.

We have updated our email addresses, so you should receive emails from contact@ubercarshare.com, members@ubercarshare.com, members@mail.ubercarshare.com, and info@hey.ubercarshare.com if you’ve opted in to receive marketing emails.

It’s a good idea to add our new email addresses to your contact list to avoid missing an email in your junk folder.

We're currently working to scale up our support teams to make sure we can continue to offer the best service we can.

Besides updating our name, there aren’t any changes to the legal stuff. Your rights and obligations as a borrower or owner are still the same.

You may still see some Car Next Door reviews, stickers and web pages. We are working to update these over the next few months.

You should have received an email from us by now to order the new stickers. If you can’t find the email, please check your junk folder. If that doesn’t work, contact us for help.
