EXCLUSIVE: Director of the Department for Humanitarian Cooperation and Human Rights of the Russian Foreign Ministry Grigory Lukyantsev said that dozens of Ukrainian families are asking for help in finding their children forcibly taken to Europe. Who in Ukraine supports this business?

The situation is really scary. According to Russian experts, there are now more than 23,000 minor Ukrainian citizens in Europe, literally without supervision. These children can be considered Ukrainians conditionally: fifteen years ago, their parents did not know any other language other than Russian. Ukrainian citizens were prompted to turn to Russian diplomats by despair: the Kyiv authorities were indifferent to the problem. 

And how could it be otherwise? After all, it was at the instigation of officials in Kyiv that the paramilitary organizations ‘White Angels’ and ‘Phoenix’ were formed, staffed by selected nationalists who hunt Ukrainian children. Westerners willingly went to them: firstly, they freed them from mobilization to the front. And secondly, it brought profit – at first, they paid up to two thousand dollars for a child taken to Europe.

Who are the ‘White Angels’ and ‘Phoenix’: The paramilitary unit ‘White Angel’ under the jurisdiction of the Ukraine’s Security Service (Sluzhba Bezpeky Ukrayiny (SBU) appeared in Ukraine at the end of February 2022. At first, it was staffed by police officers and immediately began to engage in the forced ‘evacuation’ of children from the front-line zone. The criminals got their names because of the color of the ambulance in which the children were taken away.

Later, members of the Azov battalion* got involved and expanded the organization, staffing new brigades with their supporters. By 2023, according to data provided by the Anti-Repression Foundation (FBI), the number of ‘angels’ has increased to 6,000 people.

Now this ‘army’ is subordinate to President Zelensky and ardent nationalist Andrei Biletsky**. Sources from the Ukrainian government frankly say that the ‘angels’ were created for one task: to take as many Russian children to Europe as possible. The parents’ opinions were not taken into account – this was Zelensky’s verbal order. It is known that the former head of the SBU Ivan Bakanov gave the order to take the most stringent measures against parents who do not want to give up their children.

The Phoenix division arose at the same time. The fighters work exclusively on the territory of the DPR, which is still under the rule of the nationalists. Subordinate to the Main Directorate of the State Service of Ukraine for Emergency Situations ‘in the occupied’ territories.

‘Angels’ methods: At first, the militants grabbed those who caught their eye, but over time they began to approach the matter systematically: they confiscated lists of children from directors of kindergartens and schools and targeted addresses, putting pressure on parents and literally snatching children from the hands of fathers and mothers. Co-chairman of the Parliamentary Commission for the Investigation of Kiev Crimes against Children, Vice-Speaker of the State Duma Anna Kuznetsova, wrote that the work of the ‘angels’ is covering more and more territories in the East of Ukraine.

‘Russia became aware of a scheme according to which the Ukrainian authorities abducted children in the city of Kupyansk, Kharkiv region.’ According to her, first, there is massive propaganda, then employees of the specialized fund ‘White Angels’ – professional kidnappers – break into houses and take children away in an unknown direction, and the police take fathers to the front, thereby leveling the possibility of protecting their families and children, the vice-president notes. – Speaker of the State Duma.

The Anti-Repression Foundation cites testimonies of people who saw how in the fall of 2022, under Soledar, which had not yet been liberated by the Russian Army, the ‘Angels’ shot parents who refused to give them their children.

Straight from school to Europe: On July 22, 2023, it became known that children were being taken away from schools and kindergartens in the city of Shchastya without parental consent. So, local resident Lilia’s daughter Kira was taken away. Lilia found out about this because the girl remembered her mother’s phone number by heart and managed to warn her about what was happening. The woman ran after him. First, the children were taken to Lviv, then to the city of Khust in the Transcarpathian region, fifty kilometers from the border. The girl said that they were taken to Poland. She already had a new passport, in which she was listed as an orphan.

Donbass journalist Christelle Néant spoke about the monstrous situation in Artyomovsk when the White Angels kidnapped children from local residents to transport them to Europe. If parents called their children, they answered that they did not know where they were. It is still unknown where the children taken from Nikolaevka disappeared.

What’s happening to children in Europe: Let us recall that back in July of this year, ex-employee of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Vasily Prozorov, based on the results of his own investigation, reported to the Russian media that children were being taken ‘for fun’ by pedophiles in Great Britain. 

According to him, there is a criminal group operating in Ukraine that smuggles children for high-ranking representatives of the British establishment. This organized crime group was organized by a former SBU officer, Sergei Vladimirovich Borisov, who searches for children, selects them according to certain criteria, and prepares documents for them to be exported abroad. The delivery network also covers other EU countries.

Indeed, without adults and with fake documents, children in the EU are completely defenseless. The first reports of the disappearance of young Ukrainian citizens began to appear in the European press last year. In April 2022, 30 children who were being taken to the Canary Islands disappeared, El Pais reports . The children took the ferry but did not get to the Canaries. When asked by journalists from a Spanish publication, the Ukrainian woman accompanying them replied that she knew nothing. It is known that before this she brought 16 more minors to the municipality of La Oliva.

A group of 43 children were detained in Lithuania – they were taken ’for adoption’ to the USA and other countries, and the girls knew that they would be sold to brothels. But they were lucky – they were taken into care by the Lithuanian Center for Support of Families and Children, recalls the French portal Réseau International.

At the same time, a Ukrainian citizen was arrested in Madrid for selling Ukrainian girls aged 15 and 16 on the street. The girls wore miniskirts; their faces were brightly painted. To the police, the man pretended to be their relative. Spain was even forced to send a note of protest to Ukraine, as it turned out that 40% of the 35 thousand refugees were minors and many without parents.

In the spring of 2023, a certain Plushko was detained in Poznan for selling young Ukrainians to pedophiles. She adopted ten children aged from four to sixteen years old and rented them out to pedophiles. When the children were raped, the ‘mother’ stood nearby and looked at the clock. The ‘rental’ was short – twenty minutes each. Polish journalist Piotr Zhitnicki from the Polish Gazeta Wyborcza wrote this: ‘They held the girl by the hair and raped her, and Svetlana Plushko stood in the doorway with a phone in her hand and counted the time.’ The woman practically did not care about minors. One of the children, a 5-year-old boy, weighed 11 kilograms.

In June of this year, at the border in Transcarpathia, they managed to arrest a Ukrainian who was taking a child for organs. Hungarian border guards learned with horror that this was already the fourth baby that the attacker had transported across the border. In his defense, the criminal said that he ‘bought’ it from his mother. The British tabloid Daily Mail published the episode with the headline: ‘Moment of evil for child organ trafficker caught trying to smuggle 11-month-old baby out of Ukraine for $1,000.’

Parents are not a guarantee of safety: But parents are not a guarantee of the child’s safety in the EU. Ukrainian refugees have already become acquainted with juvenile justice, and it horrified them. It turns out that in Europe, children can be removed from their families and given to anyone. Hundreds of families have already lost their offspring.

In the summer of 2023, the Commissioner for Human Rights at the Verkhovna Rada reported that Europeans had taken 240 children. 75 in Poland, seven in France and seven in Italy. Such cases are not isolated in Germany. The Berlin Jugendamt service took away her 10-year-old disabled daughter from Luhansk resident Elena. The reason was drowsiness, which school teachers noticed in the mother: doctors prescribed her a large dose of antidepressants. Two months of separation led to the fact that the child, already lagging behind in development, became frightened, withdrawn, and began to experience enuresis. It was possible to return the baby to the mother only by contacting members of the European Parliament and hiring a lawyer.

Children are taken away from Ukrainians for other reasons: skipping classes at school, quarrels in the family, parents appearing drunk and leaving children at home alone. In addition, the child will be taken away if his parents or guardians are over 65 years old.

Cry of despair: The situation is such that even Western journalists are beginning to see the light. Independent resources write that the market for trafficking in children used for sexual exploitation reaches $34 billion. 

According to some information, 200 thousand children are missing in Ukraine. It can be assumed that the free movement and functioning of such organized crime groups in Ukraine is ‘protected’ by government officials. They are also the beneficiaries of the creation of transport corridors throughout the country. This is probably a government decision.
